AIR

Located only 30 miles south of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, one of the 10 busiest airports in the United States, businesses in Maricopa have nearby access to an airport served by 29 major airlines with daily service to 105 domestic and 23 international destinations.

Phoenix Sky Harbor handles more than 125,000 passengers, 1,200 aircraft and 1,000 tons of air cargo every single day.

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is located about 40 miles northeast of Maricopa, and handles nearly 1.8 million passengers annually, hosts more than 40 companies and offers nonstop service to approximately 63 domestic and international destinations.

INTERSTATE

Access via ground transportation is immediately available by way of two major interstates (I-10 and I-8), with Maricopa conveniently located only 45 minutes from Downtown Phoenix.

I-10 is the southernmost bicoastal highway in the U.S., reaching from Santa Monica, California to Jacksonville, Florida, with direct access to Phoenix and Tucson.

I-8 offers easy access to San Diego, California via its east-west span, terminating just south of Maricopa.

Long-term planning includes the development of Interstate 11, an international highway that will extend from Mexico to Canada – passing directly through Maricopa.

RAIL

For companies seeking freight rail services, Union Pacific Railroad’s east-west line – traveling the width of Arizona from Yuma to San Simon – runs through Maricopa and is part of the railroad’s Sunset Route, a 760-mile corridor between Los Angeles and El Paso. Five-day-a-week local freight rail service is available in Maricopa for rail-served sites that have been planned with and approved by Union Pacific Railroad.

Maricopa also offers passenger rail access and is the greater Phoenix area’s Amtrak hub. Amtrak’s New Orleans-Los Angeles Sunset Limited has a scheduled stop in Maricopa, the only stop in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
