SLP was joined at the trade show by several clients from Indiana, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas and Washington. While in Anaheim, the firm also took part in an exclusive networking event focused on site selection strategy, corporate facility planning and business attraction.

The Wind Power Conference & Exhibition, coordinated by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), is recognized as the nation’s fastest-growing trade show and the world’s largest annual wind energy event. Held at the Anaheim Convention Center, WINDPOWER 2011 featured over 1,150 companies from 20 countries exhibiting the latest in wind power development, manufacturing and technology. Nearly 16,000 industry leaders, government officials and business executives attended the show. 300,000 square feet of exhibit space covered five expo halls and an outdoor demonstration area.

“As a result of our strategic partnership with AWEA and participating in their events over the last several years, SLP has experienced tremendous growth and clearly established our position as a leading site selection advisory firm within the wind energy industry,” said Justin Thompson, CEO of Site Location Partnership. “We look forward to continued success in matching wind turbine manufacturers and component suppliers with locations that will meet their needs for the long-term.”

At the networking event, SLP executives joined industry leaders from the fields of corporate location strategy, commercial real estate, tax incentives and economic development. “This gathering provided an ideal setting for corporations, site selection service providers, and economic development organizations to establish successful business relationships and profitable strategic partnerships,” said Mark Darce, senior vice president of development at Site Location Partnership. “It was a worthwhile opportunity to share knowledge about trends in our industry and how the economy is currently affecting the site selection process.”
