site location partnershipChicago, IL (November 21, 2013) – Site Location Partnership (SLP), a Dallas-based site selection advisory firm, announced its successful participation at Fabtech 2013. For the fifth consecutive year, SLP exhibited and met with manufacturers planning to expand or relocate their operations. SLP provided registration badges to clients from Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and West Virginia who attended the show. While in Chicago, the firm also took part in an exclusive networking forum dedicated to corporate site selection and economic development.

Fabtech is North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and laser event, showcasing the latest metal fabrication products and technologies. The trade show combines four previously independent shows that have for decades brought millions of buyers and sellers together from around the world. Fabtech 2013, held at McCormick Place in Chicago, featured 650,000 square feet of exhibition space, 1,572 exhibitors, and over 40,000 attendees.

“Fabtech once again presented an outstanding opportunity for us to better understand the business operations of prospective clients involved in the fabricated metal products industry,” said Site Location Partnership CEO Justin Thompson. “Many of the people who visited our booth were decision makers with needs relevant to our site selection advisory services. We foresee several significant economic development projects on the horizon from some of the companies we met at the show.”

The networking forum brought together a distinguished group of site consultants, corporate real estate advisors and economic developers. “This gathering provided an ideal setting for attendees to gain first-hand knowledge of the very latest in site selection trends, while establishing relationships with professionals who are at the forefront of corporate location decision-making,” said Mark Darce, senior vice president of development at Site Location Partnership. “All in all, it was a highly productive event and we were glad to be a part of it.”
