site location partnershipJefferson City, MO (May 15, 2013) – The Missouri CORE (Connecting Our Regional Economy) Partnership announced its contract renewal with Site Location Partnership (SLP), a Dallas-based consulting firm specializing in economic development and corporate location strategy. Under the terms of the agreement, SLP will support the four-county regional group with business recruitment initiatives targeting expanding and relocating companies from high-growth industry sectors.

“Site Location Partnership continues to play a huge role in our marketing efforts for the Missouri CORE region,” said Bernie Andrews, Marketing Committee Chair for Missouri CORE. “SLP allows us to leverage our scarce resources and gain exposure to target industries that fit the strengths of our region. They also provide us with valuable opportunities to meet with their established network of site selection consultants in various markets, and gain insight into the current projects that they are working on.”

SLP’s Economic Development Practice will provide customized services designed to heighten Missouri CORE’s visibility to corporate location prospects and site selectors, and improve the region’s competitiveness for winning projects with sustainable job creation. The firm will focus business recruitment activities on decision makers from companies in food processing, automotive manufacturing, and life sciences industry clusters.

“Our partnership with Missouri CORE is a prime example of regional economic development at its best,” said Mark Darce, senior vice president of development at Site Location Partnership. “By working together through a collaborative effort, we will continue to build upon the strengths of the region and further enhance its reputation as a highly desirable place to do business. Missouri CORE is clearly in a strong growth mode and we’re excited to help each county achieve their economic development goals now and in the future.”
