Cedar City, UT
Quality of Life

Iron County Utah is a hub of culture and commerce in the heart of one of the nation’s most scenic areas. We enjoy a low cost of living, a friendly business climate, and limitless natural wonders. We love our small town atmosphere and our “big city” arts and entertainment options.

Cedar City is the gateway to the largest concentration of National Parks and Monuments in the U.S. and a mecca for outdoor recreation. Whether you prefer a leisure activity or an extreme adventure, southern Utah’s spectacular terrain offers it all. Nearby Cedar Breaks National Monument, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park are each unique in their beauty and are visited by millions of guests each year.

CCedar City Mapedar City has earned the title, “Festival City USA” for its incredible theatrical and cultural offerings, including the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Utah Summer Games, the Groovefest American Music Festival and the Cedar City Livestock Fest. This small city is always buzzing with a variety of activities for all ages. Endurance athletes flock here year-round for top-notch running, cycling and alpine events, and the snowy slopes of Brian Head Resort offer the very best in winter sports.

Transportation

Iron County Utah is located in the southwest corner of the state, roughly midway between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. Our location is ideal for product distribution to major western cities and states via highway, rail and air.

Interstate-15
is the main thoroughfare though the county, linking Utah with California, Nevada, Idaho and Montana and providing access with I-40, I-70 and I-80. Interstate 15 is a key long-haul commerce corridor that makes Iron County accessible to 48 million people or 86.5% of the western metropolitan population within one-day’s trucking.

Railroad: Iron County has a long history of rail service, dating back to the early 1920s. Today, with the partnership of Port 15 Utah, Cedar City boasts the largest rail-served business park in the Western United States. Cedar City’s 21-mile rail spur is maintained by the Union Pacific railroad.

Airport: The Cedar City Regional Airport maintains a 10,000-foot runway and is the most convenient airport for travelers visiting Cedar City, Brian Head ski resort, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks and Cedar Breaks National Monument. The regional airport is within one mile of downtown Cedar City and is served by Delta Connection.
