The Ajax Business Network consists of free quarterly networking and informational events, special events throughout the year, and various information notices about opportunities for local businesses. First Durham Municipality to offer 'Social Marketing Workshops for Businesses', a series of 10 hands-on workshops that help business owners and managers navigate the tools available for social marketing. These workshops were developed through a collaboration with the Ajax Public Library, CIBC Durham Centre, and the #1 SEO in Canada, Search Engine People. First Durham Municipality to conduct industry roundtables in specific sectors to identify business needs and supply chain gaps. These roundtables have enabled a strong focus on developing programs specific to these needs. First Durham Municipality to be awarded the 'Critical Business Partner' award by Blane Canada for 'challenging the status quo' in supporting business growth in the Town. This was the result of a combination of being the First municipality in Durham to dedicate staff resources exclusively to business needs, combined with the latest in technology to track and communicate business needs.
