Missouri CORE, a regional nonprofit economic development agency, is home to a well-educated workforce and ranks among the lowest business cost areas nationwide (Forbes, “Best Small Places” 2008).
CORE is also home to the University of Missouri, designated “Doctoral/Research Extensive” by the Carnegie Foundation, and one of only 34 AAU-designated public universities.
About CORE
Missouri CORE (Connecting Our Regional Economy) is a nonprofit economic development agency representing 10 mid-Missouri counties. Missouri CORE includes the counties of Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Camden, Cole, Howard, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, and Osage.
Key location advantages:
* Highly educated and skilled workforce. The CORE region has 13 universities and community/technical colleges with over 13,000 annual graduates. High school and college graduation rates are above the MO and US rates.
* Central US location, as well as central MO location. St. Louis and Kansas City are both about 2 hours drive time on Interstate 70. We also have 4-lane highways 54, 63, and 50 which provide excellent access in all directions. 
* Great place to live: Beautiful scenery, plentiful outdoor recreation (lakes, rivers, hiking, biking, others), low cost of living, low crime, friendly neighbors, access to 13 universities/colleges, others.
